The Indiana Fever should be financially able to keep Sophie Cunningham in 2027 because Kelsey Mitchell will not be resigned (unless both Caitlin Clark and Kelsey agree to take significant pay cuts).

I think the Fever want to see an injury free season, then they'll resign her for 2027. If they don't resign, they'll have to find another player just as good or better, which will be impossible to do if they pay Kelsey Mitchell the max again next year. So in 2027 I think Kelsey leaves and Sophie stays.
