I have been working on my filter project for 5 years as of this year. On top of doing half a dozen projects/events for local kids every single year. There are no big foundations backing me. I can tweet about the issues all day and for the most part nobody listens. I don't have huge platforms like other activist. I have asked for help from foundations, nonprofits, celebrities, politicians and companies. I have had adults telling me to stay in a child's place more times than I can count. I do this work because everyone deserves access to clean water. I do this work because I see the need in my community for necessities every single day, I want to give the kids here the world. I do this work because its exhausting seeing those in charge doing the bare minimum.
