@Carnage4Life "Should we send a notification" by Slack. I bet there are at least 50 diagram like this one (an optimistic estimate) at Twitter + scale. Software is hard...

2019 when we got started with Linear, most SaaS websites at the time seemed to be these "Corporate Memphis" sites with vague benefit statements and weird colorful illustrations. No screenshots of the product and dark sites were very rare in B2B SaaS.

The top free app in the AppStore is an AI-first app avatar creator. Sure, a fad for now. The other most viral app was chatting with AI last week. Are you getting it yet? This is AI's Angry Bird's on iOS moment for computing.

I think the most frustrating thing about CSS is that people coming from other areas of programming expect it to be super easy to learn.

@dev_jonaskaas @telmo Bjarne is not coding UI stuff + probably spends 98.8% of his time thinking and exchanging emails.

@telmo I once thought the mostly badass developers had at least 4 monitors on their desktop. Then I saw an interview with Bjarne Stroustrup telling he is working on a 13" laptop

@JS_Bits_Bill Yeah, you can somewhat wing it with frameworks but the cracks start appearing sooner than later.

@endphrame I've seen that! Often in interview HWs. It's definitely the oddball of the group of tech you need to master and it can be easy to "fake" in a way where the view looks "okay" but has all kinds of weird positioning issues or isn't fully responsive.
