I love that subs can play in each match this year, but MLP needs to take it one step further and allow teams to make decisions after each game For ex: if they go to a 4th game after a 3 game sweep, teams should be able to let’s their 5th/6th player play Best way to grow talent

🚨Kaitlyn Christian to Atlanta Bouncers for Victoria DiMuzio & Cash🚨 The Texas Ranchers get Victoria DiMuzio and cash The Bouncers get Kaitlyn Christian Keeper Info: - Christian's keeper fee is $29,500 and she can only be kept for the 2026 year - DiMuzio's keeper fee is $70,000 and she can be kept through 2027 if Texas chooses Analysis: This trade makes a ton of sense for me on both sides, with one caveat. For the Ranchers, this trade ONLY makes sense if the cash is considerable. KK has continuously improved in doubles over the past two years, and while she isn't a top 10 woman in doubles, she is very solid and inching closer to top 10. I doubt Texas keeps DiMuzio with her large $70k keeper fee, but crazier things have happened. For Atlanta, GM Leigh Anne Rehkopf is trying to replace not one, but two retirees from the offseason. Yesterday, it was announced that Atlanta acquired Jay Devilliers, and today they pick up Christian. To start the weekend, Atlanta had one viable starter in Jaume Martinez Vich and by the end of the weekend, they have three good starters.

It’s interesting how now that there are single specialists in MLP…fringe premier players who are good at singles but mid at doubles, their value goes down, a la Hunter Johnson. But players who will never sniff a doubles match, Chris Haworth for example… stock way up 📈

Since the trade deadline opened Wednesday, I have been on the phone with no less than 10 GMs or front office staff in @MajorLeaguePB Below are two insider rules you don't know about and much more Here are some things I am hearing: - There will be a few more trades announced in the next 3-5 days - The league hasn't announced this publicly, but teams know - we are back to a draft situation where every team has to draft their 4 players before any other team is allowed to draft their 5th or 6th player - There is a real hindrance on trades being made right now in Trade Window #1 (before the draft), because of another rule that isn't publicly published - (bare with me, it is complicated): Only teams that ended 2025 with less than two 2024 draftees can trade for a player who was drafted in 2024 and keep them - this goes for the Atlanta Bouncers, Carolina Hogs, Chicago Slice, Miami Pickleball Club, Palm Beach Royals, and SoCal Hard Eights For example: Hunter Johnson - he was traded to the Chicago Slice today for Max Freeman - he was drafted in 2024, and if he was traded to another team not named above, they would not have been able to keep him. However, since he was traded to the Slice, and they are on the list, they can keep him (they now have Callie and Hunter as their two 2024 keepers) - There are plenty of trade deals getting done as POST DRAFT trades (Trade Window #2), due to the above rule - those trades will not get announced until after the draft - To the surprise of NO ONE, good women continue to be at a premium - every team is worried about going into the draft needing a woman, so I expect women to go first in the draft - Even though I thought he was crazy last week when I went on the Tennis Sucks/Bad Calls podcast with him, I think Graham D'Amico might be right - there sounds like a real path to no Challenger this year - will find out more hopefully by the end of next week - The media will get a full list of available players to be drafted a couple days after the keeper deadline (Feb 15) and I will give my analysis on the available players then
