this is my current selection for the 50 best video games, in chronological order. games that i havent completed are disqualified from this category unfortunately so there are a few that deserve to be on here but are not.

ive posted the 2025 edition on a blog called erikblog, which is where future editions will be posted. erikblog.neocities.org

im back with my annual report on the best 50 video games. games highlighted in green are new to the 2023 edition. also included this year is a list of games that were unfortunately removed in the new edition, and the trends.

ive primarily shifted my tweeting to bluesky but i started posting these here so ill finish them here. didnt actually complete startropics but reached the final boss and we will get it next week so w/e. also including games ive been playing throughout 2024 but havent "finished".

remember remember the books, shows, movie, and games i was into in november. the format ive been using to credit romhacks rears its ugly head again to stretch out the image. but what am i supposed to do, stop?? might as well keep doing it, were almost at the end of the year.

folks once again i will be posting a monthly round-up of the books, movies, games, etc. that i read/watched/played each month. will not list albums because it would be like hundreds every month and it would mostly be the same ones every time.

my current thinking is maybe bluesky can be like a weaker twitter replacement i can use to wean myself off of social media until im.strong enough to log off for good and fill that time more productively and positively.

i need to post publically that i will not be joining bluesky, so if anyone sees me there or sees me asking for an invite code they can call me out. when twitter dies, that is my chance to log off. please do not let me miss it.

i have never watched any video related to this at all!!!!

when youtube recommends me videos like this it feels like theyre making fun of me. like "yeah youll click on anything, wont you?"

i wish youtube had a feature where i could click on a video its recommending me and it would say exactly what data it has on me that led it to push it i to my feed. because some of this shit is baffling and i need to know how i fucked it up.
