The insane over-romanticizing of teen years is such a horrible thing in our culture. Tons of people who aren’t even 20 feeling like they already missed out on life just cause they didn’t live some boomer dream fantasy during *4 YEARS* of their decades long life.

dense areas, public transit, and walking everywhere definitely help but it's far from being night and day

Gen Z realizing one of the biggest shocks after college is that life no longer happens around you. In school, friends, events, relationships, and opportunities are built into your environment. As an adult, if you don't actively create a social life, weeks can turn into months surprisingly fast.

@merylisk @CrownedAnarchie I would advise people not to pass on smaller cities that also have walkable centers like Portland. It's no NYC but you could walk down the street, go to a show, get some coffee, meet some strangers, whatever
