A pattern a day until we raise 1,000 ICP for public goods. MFC — Multi-factorial Consensus! The IC DAO space over the last couple of months has been interesting-to say the least. Most DAOs rely solely on coin voting. Are there other ways? Can we augment coin voting? Yes! MFC.

@daviddalbusco I'm glad you liked the graph! I used sigmajs, an amazing library which performs well even with 10-thousands of users. 🗽🧡 In @junobuild I created a custom endpoint that prepares all votes, and merges duplicates into 'weight', and reputation scores into dot sizes 👌

Great work. I started testing/voting. First feedback - github link is broken - after casting a vote consider an automatic update/refresh so that ranking/graph overview and other metrics reflect the vote. - wrt "how to test"; pls see attached pic. explanation not really clear what that means... "cutting off"

@CFScharffenorth @dfinity And yes it needs a better explanation. I'll update that. Quick answer: 🔹Currently everyone earns voting rewards. 🔹But once trusted users > threshold, only votes from trusted users will generate rewards. 🔹This means new users only gain rep when up-voted by existing users.

@dfinity Maybe I've polished the app too much, and people think this is a launch or final version? It is just a performance test: I need many accounts voting! Later I will improve and republish on a new domain (maybe even a different subnet) Spam votes until you reach trusted level!

@PaulJohn22880 @junobuild Thank you! The goal is to get enough people to gain "trusted level" to showcase to the community how the bot protection works and test the performance. The calculations get more intensive with more votes. I hope I can reach enough people for that.

@fairtal3 @junobuild On a first impression I felt why test with my internet identity..... It took me some time to understand the app but well I did some votes and created a tag with my Twitter username. Maybe wallet integration could work too. The app was kind of buggy sometimes

@fairtal3 @junobuild Looks like a clean start on ICP — loads fast and deployed right. But there’s no wallet integration or canister interaction yet. Add wallet support + hook up a service canister to start making it a proper dApp.

@uzEbuka1 @junobuild good idea, I'll add google sign in if these tests go well but note: on ICP, each url creates a new principal. In other words: it should be completely independent But I do have a second internet identity to test apps I dont trust, just to be 100% safe

@fairtal3 @junobuild A quick feedback: Inclusion of more login or sign-up options will do more good. Not everyone is ready to risk his/her internet identity access. Other options will do good and increase users free confidence.

@dehypokriet @junobuild Yes! This is a trial to stress test the backend. The dashboard isn't implemented either. Now, I want to test the reputation algorithm, which is the core of the app and it's bot protection. If this test goes well, then I'll build the rest. Need votes to measure resources.

@junobuild You can explore the whole app without logging in. I did that on purpose, so everyone can check things out before going through the account creation process. But I need users to vote to test the performance of the reputation algorythm! No costs or KYC, just login and play.

I built a reputation and proof-of-human app, powered by #ICP and @junobuild: - No KYC - Immune to bots - Any app can use it (web3 and web2!) It is ready! 🤩 In the next days I'll share info how I solved this, and let alpha testers play with it. Who wants to try it first?

@daviddalbusco @junobuild oh yes, I know about the field there. Since this new Upgrade Dock displays the last deploy date of frontend/backend, it might be cool to also display the version number in that list, to have all the answers about "what is the last deploy?" in a single view. Nice update! 🤩
