We've addressed a number of issues with the @ApacheArrow Python wheels and thus they'll be 75% smaller in the next major release. An optional component requiring the LLVM runtime will likely be shipped in a separate wheel in the future github.com/apache/arrow/p…

@user31459 It will be interesting to see if the @ApacheArrow data format is generic enough to unite the vast span of this ecosystem while remaining specific enough to facilitate modern SIMD/SIMT. IMHO the benchmarks published by @fastdataio are not yet convincing enough.

@HPC_Guru @MIT At the end of the day, there are two distinct ways of looking at the death of Moore's Law: 1 - Accept the reality and enter in the long race for innovation that we are witnessing. 2 - Double the bet and say it will reach 1.4nm in 2029. IMHO, the first option is the wisest. 🦊
