And we claim only a 1% royalty on the established miners already here while they profit off our minerals. Shocking! Yes they pay tax on profit. But 1% !!!! We are such a mineral rich country that we could become the new and improves Norway with more money towards public services and such

I don't think people in NZ realize how poor NZ has become. Otherwise nobody would be wanting to vote left to further reduce our ability to earn (they want to block every development, ban every mine, prevent any new things being done). This is what happens when our money becomes worthless. It's not that food has become expensive, it's that our money doesn't buy anything. For example: Labour's proposed tax if they get in is 50% on incomes over $150k. Keep in mind, at todays exchange rate, that would be like an American being on 50% tax when they earn 88k USD. It's *that bad* here. But, for some reason, people seem really happy to: 1. Have National not actually cut the spend very much, and that spending on the public service somehow grows the economy (it does the reverse, it sucks productivity out of the economy). 2. Believe giving more money to the government, as though the issue isn't that they don't spend effectively. It will get worse. Plan for it.

Yes agreed. Most of society (parents) are too busy (too pay the bills) or distracted (by the system) to even guide their kids. I dont blame them, this parenting is a hard gig. I found you guys in 2020 and dismissed the PSE teachings as 'unlikely', now i wish I had a whole spare life to learn. Luckily I have you guys ( and other cycle) guys who have been in the space for decades to help steer my limited headspace. Two years back as part of a family trip to Europe and beyond we took our boys around the war zones that New Zealander has been part of. A truly moving experience for all. The senseless act of giving your life to these politicians will. But also the human spirit shining through the devastating as enemies shared moments together during the wars. Even saving each other's lives. The boys really struggled to understand that part "Why would a German doctor save the lives of 70 French soldiers on one day alone! They were enemies!!" We are all human.

Anyone else sickened by this? Hearing the leader of the Free World speaking this way? The "gamification" of war - the very worst human trait. Governments - get rid of them

Has anyone noticed a pick up in businesses reach out looking for work? I ask, because this week I've had 2 businesses "touch base". I don't recall the last time that happened. Maybe nothing? Potentially, but if I'm not the only one, it is a sign some businesses are finding themselves with more time up their sleeve and are trying to drum up some work. Keen to hear from others.
