Really happy to see the hostages back. Must have been excruciating for them and their families. I don’t want a single person hurt on either side. Now, when does Israel release 5.5 million hostages it has in occupied territories? Or are Palestinians permanent hostages of Israel?

@yp_helen @annbauerwriter The point is the lack of economic activity has an effect of causing additional starvation around the world. Upper middle class families in Australia aren’t the ones starving. It’s the very poor.

@finsquick @annbauerwriter My husband and I have barely worked all year, we have 4 kids but we're not starving. I don't know what to tell you, free universal health care, social welfare work. It's far from perfect but we're looked after. I feel for you, I really do.

It's become clear to me that about 50% of the people I know actually like the sense of being controlled/locked down and supposedly 'safe.' This is astonishing. I keep waiting for the uprising, the I've-had-enough. But it's not coming. Just the opposite.

@annbauerwriter I'm in Melbourne Australia, we've had a long lockdown. It was really hard but we all did it and the virus is well under control, freedom tastes so sweet and none of us are dying! Imagine that? Covid doesn't give a shit about your feelings.
