Your list is true, and have helped the corrosion, but ultimately it’s horrible parenting. The rise of the friend, iPad, self centered parenting, has been the death of young people. It’s easier to blame a teacher that sees a kid an hour a day, instead of looking inward at years of failure.

How did we mess it up? For starters, we let people with no classroom experience have an increasing say on how schools are run We let behaviour slip in a big way And we overcomplicated something which in it's purist form is really very simple Can we fix it? #Edchat #edutwitter

For the coaches who discourage athletes from lifting in season, regardless of the sport, y’all are clowns 🤡

@CoachDaniels06 My take is this, you want to get EXTRA training, that’s fine. You cannot miss team activities for training NOR can you say you “are training elsewhere”.

High School Football Coaches. I don't care how successful you are as a coach. You don't own the kids that are in your program. 1. Stop trying to control who kids train with. It's their parents money they do with it as they please. 2. Find ways to promote every kid in your program who has the ability to play at the next level. Not just the ones with D1 Potential. 3. Stop trying control what camps prospects attend. Again its their parents money they do with it as they please. 4. Be open minded and find ways to connect with the athletes and parents outside of football.

1: is something you should take note of as a coach. If one of your players is going to a “trainer”. That is counter programming your athlete. Heck yeah you should say something. There are two positions in my program I check on who a player is training with, QB and OL. All other positions are just doing EDDs anyways.

California has 40 million people in it… if you take away 200 guys, the billionaires, if you take them out of the equation, we lose 47 % of our revenue. Many of those billionaires have moved already or are in the process of moving.

61 boys on girls' teams in one district in one state. Tell me again how it just never happens and it's really no big deal. Girls deserve so much better.

‼️Bombshell!!! Just received 31 page report sent by US Dept of Ed to @JeffcoSchoolsCo . In case anyone thought there weren’t really 61 males playing on girls’ teams, here you go! I’ll share more from the report soon! They have until March 23rd to comply! @Riley_Gaines_ @JenniferSey

Because we never allow kids to cope, we bail them out of every tough situation. Then tell them “it’s not your fault, it’s really X,Y, and Z that is at fault.” This can be helped by putting kids back in sports and extra curricular activities. We have a seen a drop in these because they are hard and teach life lessons like failure, interpersonal struggle and real earned success . Unlike our schools.

60% of teachers in new Ed Week survey say student behavior has worsened over the past two years: “We’ve seen a large increase in the inability for students to cope when things don’t go their way. We see a lot of crying, yelling, shutting down, gross overreactions”

Was talking to a non-Football player and the kid said he’d think about coming out if he could play “Edge”. I said son this his high school football, we see triple option, wing t, and Power I 3 of our first 4 games. There’s no edge and there’s no rushing the passer.

🚨 WOW! NYPD officer drops it straight. The Irish came, worked, spoke the language, and BUILT the city from the ground up. Police, fire, construction. They earned it. That’s the difference. Build the country, don’t try to change it.
