This is cope because the actual Allied superweapons were things so comparatively mundane, like better integration of radar or frequency-hopping on remote-controlled torpedoes, you rarely ever hear about them now. Also, y'know, the really big one that changed the world forever.

To become rich from curing cancer, you have to withhold the cure from people suffering and dying from cancer. So yes, you don't deserve to get rich from curing cancer. Only in an exploitative and unethical system is this seen as acceptable.
Jonah Goldberg@JonahDispatch

If I cure cancer I will get very rich. And a bunch of people on this site will apparently find my sudden wealth outrageous.

Dan Gilroy's imagination is limited so his idea of unique planets is just "oh here's the Scottish Highlands" or "here's a planet full of wheat." This isn't a problem unique to him as all of Disney's Star Wars has it but it showcases a creative bankruptcy across the board.

@The_Clermontian They could have made an Andor ship iconic if he stuck with one, but since they switch around a lot there isn’t one ‘Andor’s TIE Avenger’ or ‘Cassian’s U-wing’

If we want yuppies and developers catering to mid yuppie tastes to stop doing crazy shit when they "renovate" old row homes, we need to be building more big glass towers and luxury condos for people who love gray LVP flooring and waterfall marble counters to live in

Citadel well known for firing their best quants
cvxv666@antpalkin

Citadel fired their best quant. He rebuilt their entire algo with Claude Fable 5 in 48 hours - and he's up $430,000 trading it against them. He didn't take a single file. He didn't need to - ten years of that logic lived in his head, and you can't raid a memory. Wallet proof: @0xb55fa1296e6ec55d0ce53d93b9237389f11764d4-1777575277609?via=cvxv666" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">polymarket.com/@0xb55fa1296e6… Here's the engine MiroFish runs - and it's rigged in his favor. Picture a Galton board: a ball dropping through eight rows of pegs, bouncing left or right at random. One ball is chaos. Thousands of balls always fall into the same bell curve. That's the law he weaponized. Every ball is one trade. Each row is a volatility gate - news, liquidations, order-book flow, things nobody controls. On a fair board every gate is a 50/50 coin flip. His model tilts each one to 0.54 - four cents of edge that only shows up when fair value splits from the book. Four cents sounds like nothing. Compound it through eight gates, thirty-two thousand times, and the whole bell shifts right of breakeven: 71% of trades land green. $93 of edge per trade. $430k across the distance. Watch the win rate converge in real time - it swings between 50 and 85% for the first few dozen trades, then locks on 0.71 and never leaves. He doesn't predict a single trade. One trade is a coin flip. Eighteen thousand is mathematics. They thought firing him protected the edge. They just handed it a grudge. Copy the wallet quietly out-trading a $60B fund before they connect the dots: @cvxv666" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">kreo.app/@cvxv666

@Nude_Gunray Also based on AotC there are a solid 10 Jedi in the galaxy that won’t die to a couple droidekas or 100 B1s and those 10 also aren’t dying to shotgun B1s

@Nude_Gunray Make your trillion soldier strong army require ammo instead of unlimited laser guns, worse against everything else, lower ranged, can’t pen clone armor without slug rounds all for the purpose of killing like 500 people in the whole galaxy?

I appreciate they're controlled opposition but the battle droids of the Confederacy should've been outfitted with shotguns as standard. Dark Rendezvous shows us that Jedi can't defend for shit against buckshot.

Something I don’t think is appreciated enough, is the diversity of ships in SW Rebels, especially for the Empire. Could’ve easily just used ISDs for everything, but entire episodes are dedicated to the arquitens, Gozanti, interdictor, and, my favorite, Quasar Fire-class carrier-

This is what republicans do- Complain about oversight, get rid of regulations, ONLY to fuck things up because that oversight was there for a reason. Then of course they never take responsibility for the damage they cause to the American people.

A highly dangerous maggot that eats the living flesh of pets, livestock, and humans has been discovered in Texas. Last year, Trump ousted thousands of key staff from the office dedicated to preventing the spread of dangerous pests.
