In 2008, I published my thesis titled Traditional Revolution: Formalizing the Informal, examined the role of waste pickers and scavengers in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt, and how they could be integrated into a modern waste management system rather than treated as a nuisance.
The paper argued that waste pickers form the foundation of an informal recycling network that already performs an important public service. And Instead of leaving them vulnerable to exploitation and exclusion, I proposed a framework that formalizes their activities, creates economic opportunities, improves collection efficiency, and reduces the burden on government.
More than a decade later, the same principles remain relevant. Sustainable solutions require planning, inclusion, and execution, not endless excuses.
Sadly, the environmental mess confronting our state is the result of policy failures and poor implementation. It is also the consequence of poor imagination and a lack of leadership.

Let's address the other part of your point specifically about Yoruba people.
In the election, what ethnic group were the people who were hunting people at polling units in Lagos, trying to prevent anybody they suspected was Igbo from exercising their right to vote?
To the extent that they even falsely accused people of other tribes of being Igbo, and beat and injured them at the polling unit? (We all saw the videos and pictures)
What ethnic group were the people who locked some of the streets and refused to let people in if they didn't vote for Tinubu?
What ethnic group were the people who said if Igbo people don't vote as they want, they will be drowned in the Lagos Lagoon?
What ethnic group were the people who used tribalism and bigotry as their vanguard in the last election?
Of course, it's not the whole Yoruba people who did this.
It is absolutely not all Yoruba people or even most Yoruba people.
However, it is extremely dishonest to talk about this issue as if Bola Tinubu is just by himself messing up, and there's no LARGE GROUP OF PEOPLE FOLLOWING HIM TO MESS UP ON THE BASIS OF HIM BEING THEIR TRIBE MEMBER.

My conclusion was not that feminism is invalid, or that a christian shouldn't be feminist. Christianity clearly caters for feminism in its doctrine and expected practice, theologically and historically speaking. I was only pointing out that people can get so engrossed in labels

Christianity has had excesses from some of its adherents too. We do not conclude that Christianity itself is invalid because some Christians have taken positions that contradict its core teachings. In the same way, the existence of extreme feminists does not automatically invalidate every person who uses the label or every definition of feminism. If the concern is excess, then the standard should be applied consistently across all beliefs and movements, not selectively to one label.
