Am pretty certain that the President doesn’t want to throw the proverbial baby out with the bath water. FISA itself is not a bad construct. It’s corrupt politicians and bureaucratic hacks who have made it a threat to American liberties. In order to keep FiSA, Congress must include the severest of penalties for federal judges who fail to exercise due diligence and even stiffer lifelong consequences for any member of government who abuses FISA authority to target US Citizens, or otherwise lies or conceals information that would further limit the affiant’s ability to apply FISA. 💪🇺🇸
