@gulleson@AlaskaAir They are a credit card company that runs an airline to attract customers. And same pitch happens everywhere; I’ve heard it on Allegiant and American just recently. (Seriously… that’s where all the profit is.)
Nothing more obnoxious then @AlaskaAir forcing their flight attendants to pimp their credit card like finance bro's on flights. Such an annoying and hyperbolic sales spiel.
A decapitation strike in Iran has sent shockwaves far beyond Tehran. According to insiders, Beijing did not expect the United States and Israel to directly target the core of Iran’s leadership. This airline has become a joke.
I'm loving Claude Code and it's my go-to. But asking Codex and Gemini to step in with an 'evaluate as a consultant' every once in a while surfaces all kinds of architectural and implementation issues. (Still using Cursor to make it easy to swap models in even one chat.)
PBOC will cut the foreign-exchange risk reserve ratio for forward FX sales to 0% from 20%, effective March 2, 2026, aiming to enhance currency market development and support companies’ exchange-rate hedging needs. The PBOC said it will continue encouraging financial institutions to strengthen hedging services while maintaining the renminbi broadly stable at a reasonable and balanced level.
Alaska passenger books paid first class Costa Rica → Seattle (8 hrs), gets moved to economy because two deadheading pilots take the seats. Their contract forces first class for deadheads >5 hours, stricter than most US airlines. Safety matters... pilots need rest... but the passenger ends up with crap food and no premium backup.
It's a tough trade-off, but airlines should have better plans for this.
What’s going on @AlaskaAir ? Two flights in a row delayed? Bit off too much with the @HawaiianAir merger. Quality continues to go down. I know. I’ve flown over 1MM miles with you all. The trend line is ugly.
