being an independent game dev is absolutely wild
I love looking into why a publisher didn't respond and seeing they went out of business 2 days after a guy was trying to sign us LOL
do everything you can yourself before looking externally is the most important lesson so far
Guys now that I've been properly learning about the roman empire i completely understand why people nonstop think about the roman empire. I'm more impressed theyre not also always talking about the roman empire too
it’s truly such an annoyance that social media platforms heavily reward niche behavior, and punish being a whole entire human. but also it’s nice to have a place that’s completely divorced from my Other Content, and isn’t about being funny or purposefully engaging or whatever
it’s still annoying and kind of vaguely uncomfortable to keep it slower, and i’d like to think this is a reaction/experience i can overcome. but we’ll see lol
been forcing myself to slow the listening speed down on audio books to like 1.2x to slow the media consumption dopamine drip, which isn’t something i foresaw ever saying
it just got to a point where i felt like i needed to? like maybe i was using consumption speed as a cope mech
