Oat: First of all, thank you for the question. I’d like to speak on behalf of actors for a moment, since I work in the entertainment industry and in the BL series industry. I’ve witnessed a lot of changes and growth within this field. As P'Jamie mentioned earlier, I feel that my generation is able to live more freely and comfortably because of the people who came before us and fought for these rights. From movements abroad, from the Stonewall era, to all those who stood up and advocated for the LGBTQ+ community. Artists such as Mariah Carey, Madonna, Lady Gaga, and many others contributed to making today’s world more accepting. Because of them, we are able to live more openly, and I’m truly grateful for that. Coming back to the present moment, I also want to thank everyone for understanding and respecting individual identities. I believe that in 2026, society has become much more open-minded. To be honest, while sitting here I was quietly amused because I realized I was talking about LGBTQ+ issues to fujoshi, who are probably some of the most open-minded people already. For them, you can be whoever you want to be. Some people even imagine that my acting partner and I could somehow have children together. Looking back at that makes me feel that everyone is incredibly lovely and open-hearted. We’ve come a very long way. At 26 years old, I’m not standing here asking for the right to exist. What I want is for everyone to have the right to be themselves. No matter what gender you are, you deserve the freedom to live as your authentic self.
