Every time you abandon your boundaries to maintain access to them, youโre placing your self-esteem in their hands. Their silence determines your mood, their inconsistency determines your worth and their attention decides whether you feel lovable that day. You cannot heal while repeatedly giving someone the power to define you. You cannot achieve peace while investing in chaos.

melanie has been shown praying on her knees, having a premonition dream and now being visited by an owl. she is clearly spiritually attuned. owls symbolize trusting your inner voice, wisdom, intuition, death and rebirths. i need her to let disingenuous go expeditiously.

When it comes to closureโฆ the hardest part is realizing that what we're really waiting for isn't always an explanation. We're waiting for permission to let go. The mind has a beautiful way of protecting itself from heartbreak. It tells us that if they would just say the right words, if they would finally explain why they left, why they changed, why they stopped choosing us, then we could finally be free. But sometimes that's just grief disguising itself as hope. It's easier to believe our peace is trapped inside someone else's mouth than to admit it has been resting inside our own hands all along.

PeePee๐@peegzy1
You ever notice how some people donโt apologize? They just act normal again and expect you to forget.

The heart seeks familiarity before it seeks peace. Thatโs why we return to what hurts us. The pain we recognize feels safer than the unknown we donโt. Eventually we learn that loneliness isnโt the absence of people. Itโs giving your love to someone who consumes it without gratitude and discards it without thought.
