Axios reporting that Jim Comey has been subpoenaed in the "grand conspiracy" investigation based out of southern Florida. At least 130 subpoenas have been issued--Comey subpoena relates to his involvement in the 2017 ICA to perpetuate the Trump-Russia collusion hoax.

🚨BREAKING: Loyola University Chicago student was shot and killed near a Rogers Park beach.
The 18-year-old student, Sheridan Gorman, was walking with a group of friends when an unknown suspect approached, pulled out a gun, and opened fire in their direction.
Gorman was struck in the head and pronounced dead at the scene.
There are no suspects in custody, and no description of the suspect has been provided. The investigation is ongoing.
Pray for this poor family.

CHICAGO: Gunman in ski mask murders woman gathered with friends at Loyola Beach. Police said the victim was with a group of friends when a male suspect approached on foot, took out a gun and opened fire in the group's direction. The woman was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. No other injuries were reported. Police said the young woman was not the intended target. Loyola officials are aware of the incident but did not immediately release any further details.

Four men jumped out of a car and robbed a woman at gunpoint as she dropped off her 4-year-old daughter at daycare on the Near North Side yesterday.
CPD is now working to get a handle on a spiraling robbery problem in the area.

Tonight also is the deadline for the IL Secretary of State's office to respond to Sec. Duffy's office with a "corrective action plan" to fix the state's "substantial noncompliance" with federal requirements related to non-domiciled CDLs.
A small sample reviewed as part of a FMCSA audit determined at least 20% of all non-domiciled CDLs were issued unlawfully by IL SOS office. Nearly 11,000 non-domiciled CDLs have been issued in recent years by the state of Illinois.
IL SOS must provide a plan to rescind the unlawful licenses and address what FMCSA called "systemic policy, procedural, and programming errors" in issuing non-domiciled CDLs.
If a plan is not submitted, Illinois risks not just losing upwards of $150 million in federal highway funds but the revocation of the state's entire CDL program.

Illinois leads the country, according to an investigative report by an industry group based on FOIA responses, in the percentage of all CDLs going to non domiciled drivers--nearly 40% of all CDLs are issued to non domiciled drivers.

Judge Flo Pan--married to anti-Trump activist Max Stier, who is fighting Trump's cuts to the federal workforce--was on the 2-1 panel back in November that wrote this about Duffy's proposed rule.
Judge Karen Henderson dissented; she also is on the new panel. Trouble for Duffy and DOT is that Judge Cornelia Pillard is on this panel. Her husband is former legal director of the ACLU, which is involved in many lawsuits against the administration related to immigration/deportation policies

The immigrant rights groups and unions including the Teamsters, AFL-CIO, AFSCME and others argue the final rule--which would allow only certain visa holders with proper vetting to obtain ND-CDLs--will devastate state and local government ability to provide services.

The battle to rescind non-domiciled commercial driver's licenses--which got some people's attention for the 1st time this week--is not over.
Although the final rule issued by Transportation Sec Sean Duffy went into effect on Monday, immigrant activist groups and labor unions are still fighting its implementation.
The final rule was based on audit findings demonstrating massive noncompliance with federal rules in several states including CA, TX, and IL.
Duffy's office just filed this response before the DC appellate court on Monday. Unfortunately, this case is before Judges Pan and Pillard--who routinely vote against ANYTHING related to the president and his administration.
This is the same DC appellate court that put a hold on the emergency interim rule drastically limiting who can receive non-domiciled CDLs back in November.
