I think it’s disgraceful really that Ten Hag got Leverkusen, Amorim gets Milan and Ole can only get Ipswich
Damn shame in football. Ole needs a better agent

@mimikkiki @n0traccoon ashamed to say ive never had one actually from teesside even tho i have family from there but still the inauthentic ones r soooo good
English

@lamowhatthehell @n0traccoon I really want to try one smh it looks so good. I'll have to see if I can make one myself or go up there for it someday

Thread of excellent British food and our world-class desserts because I've had quite enough of this disingenuous propaganda from uneducated foreigners...🧵
Fellow Britons, feel free to tag all the foreigners you see who think our cuisine is rubbish in the comments🫡

Eating in Mexico coming from England or Scotland has got to be a transcendent experience. Like seeing colors for the first time
English

@mimikkiki @n0traccoon i don’t eat the same thing every day i just have like spells of ordering the same thing for months from the same takeaway place 💀
English

@lamowhatthehell @n0traccoon Fair enough🤣 as I say, different priorities. I get sick of things quickly when I eat the same/similar thing often, no matter how much I initially adore it, so cuisines like that will always be just slightly lacking to me x
English

@mimikkiki @n0traccoon im very boring with my food and don’t change orders from takeaway places much but each to their own
English

@lamowhatthehell @n0traccoon So it's just never really given me that wow factor in that regard. It's definitely still up there, ofc, it's still banging- but best in the world? Nah, not to me.
English

@mimikkiki @n0traccoon oh my god i completely forgot and idk what reminded me speaking of british food i had the best chicken parmo ever conceived on sunday
English

@lamowhatthehell @n0traccoon Yeah, I have a massive sweet tooth🤣 so I've always adored british food. And I love spice, but my thing is you can kinda add really hot spice to almost anything involving red meat and have it exactly to your taste; idk if I'd say it's the indian food itself carrying that flavour+
English

@mimikkiki @n0traccoon admittedly my priorities is the savoury stuff but i still think india clears a lot of countries (esp chicken madras) maybe cuz im good with spice. i still think our desserts are miles ahead of everything else but ill try some of these u said when i have time 👍
English

@lamowhatthehell @n0traccoon But icl I may be biased, but I'd say british desserts still edge over theirs. It's just the vast range&how BRILLIANT their savouries are, desserts still being fantastic, that make me have to rank them on top in general. But I suppose it depends on what u prioritise in cuisine.
English

@mimikkiki @n0traccoon i forgot about gyros they’re such a godsend if i want smth quick. and i had no clue about cheesecake
English

@lamowhatthehell @n0traccoon Ooooh so much. My top favs(subjectively🥸) from each respectively have to be:
Greece: Souvlaki, Gyro, Fasolada, Greek meatballs, Kataifi, Cheesecake(original), Diples, their beef stews, Greek salads... I even love their fishfood&I'm not normally a big fan of fish.
English

@mimikkiki @n0traccoon i haven’t had anything from greece or portugal what’s good from there
English

@n0traccoon For the same reason, I wouldn't put Italy as the best of the best either. A contender, k, but frankly if you've eaten Italian food in Italy... I'm willing to say their desserts are the best in the world, but their mains just aren't. Imo it would go to Greek or Portuguese cuisine.
