Say what you will about Attack of the Clones but everytime I hear people complain about the plot of the prequels it just always sounds like that Cosmonaut guy explaining the steps of Palpatine’s assassination plan and calling it dumb because Palpatine wasn’t directly tied to it

@lemonsakee @PalmyrPar @CosmonautMarcus Yea it was stupid but honestly that's one of the more understandable parts of the scene, Obi-Wan couldn't let the droid get away lest he risk losing any link to the assassin. But yes he definitely should have been killed multiple times during the chase

He assassinated that assassin because the changeling was captured and obviously about to be interrogated, which is presumably the exact situation Jango feared and was monitoring the situation to stop in case it happened.
It also didn’t implicate him at all - the murder weapon was so obscure that Obi-Wan had to take it to a literal Mystery Exposition Possible War Criminal to find out what it was and where it came from.
