It happens quite frequently, and it always boggles when a flight attendant comes on the PA and asks the entire plane if “jack smith” is on the plane to ring his call button. How is it unknown exactly if he’s on the plane, and which seat he is sitting in?

I think on the inflation front Energy deregulation+ across the board deregulation will be downward pressure on inflationary impulses particularly housing On the deficit front, reduction in rates+tariffs+partial IRA repeal will be important in balancing any further tax cuts.

I look at v intelligent and influential people like Jason kottke, who regularly posts fortnight owns, and think: ‘what if that dudes free time was voter enablement or clean water’. I don’t mean to single him out bc we all need our escapes but it makes me wonder about brain cycles

I can’t help but think, if you’re good at fornight, or apex, or some other community where experience hours make a difference, (notwithstanding we all need a fvckin break) what productive thing could you be good/better at?

@kchoudhu 9 weeks in private sector France is best I’ve heard of. The kids, tho, are usually 6 weeks on and two off plus all of August.

It’s become pretty obvious that my optimal productivity pattern is three weeks on and one week off. Anyone know anyone who offers 12 weeks off every year.
