A really thought-provoking event last last night in Theirafurth, Kilcoo. South Down Irish Republicans were joined by Declan Kearney, Rosie McCorley, and Pat Treanor, each bringing lived experience, honesty, and clarity to the discussion. From reflecting on the past and the realities of conflict and imprisonment, to challenging narratives in the present and shaping a vision for the future. There was great discussion on all things Irish unity, broad alliances, and meaningful engagement with unionism. These conversations matter. 📍Out in Rathfriland this evening delivering our Spring Sceal 📍 Was good speaking to local residents about the Environment Improvement Scheme that started in March. Local Councillor Chris McCartan and his colleagues have worked hard to deliver this much needed Scheme to the town 👏

Before Christmas pupils from @stlouisgrammar brought a motion calling for Young People to be better prepared before voting at 18. Following on from their motion I have asked that a letter goes out to all schools in the district, inviting public reps to discuss their policies and party manifestos. This will give young people an opportunity to better engage with the democratic process before going to vote for the first time.

A special night remembering Martin McGuinness in South Down. Martin was a giant of Irish politics. A champion of our struggle, a leader and peacemaker. Rooted in his community, he worked every day to deliver better for his people and to achieve a United Ireland. Great to get a look at James McVeigh’s new book tonight, which contains new insight and iconic images of Martin and to share some memories and stories of our friend, our leader, our Martin.

Sinn Féin will support the motion of no confidence in the Education Minister. Today, crowds gathered in Belfast calling on Paul Givan to resign. Israel has murdered tens of thousands of children & destroyed nearly every school in Gaza. It is abhorrent that any minister anywhere in the world would associate themselves with Israel’s genocide, ethnic cleansing, forced starvation & illegal occupation.

🇮🇪 A lad of eighteen summers 105 years ago today, Volunteer Kevin Barry was hanged in Mountjoy Gaol by British Crown Forces. A rebel, a brave patriot who laid down his life for the freedom of Ireland. His courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten. Our generation is a called upon to achieve young Kevin Barry’s dream. Full nationhood. Full freedom. A United Ireland. “Hold on and stick to the Republic.”

Dublin Marathon 2025 - Massive Thank You to Everyone That Donated!!

Today, there are 5,145. Those numbers are only going one way - up. This the result and legacy of Fine Gael’s almost 15 years in government. Say less.

The ending of partition and the reunification of our country is an immense and historic opportunity that must be seized with enthusiasm and energy. Inch by inch, we are getting closer to a United Ireland!!
