For some reason the talking point of legendaries needing to be one of a kind keeps coming up so here is as definitive of a list as I could possibly make showing how many of each legendary there is based mainly on the games and anime
Some stuff needs explaining so here we go

@NGreentail USUM has more content, but it's basically "what if we took SM's story and moved some stuff around until we can justify a separate game"
SM has one of the best storylines, you don't wanna go with a worse version of it IMO
Rest is ok, no need to play OGs AND remakes like some say

A little help from Pokemon fans; I'm only a casual fan of the series, but after loving Pokopia and finishing Legends Z-A I want to dive deep into the series. Is this the best order and choice of games to get the best mainline Pokemon game experience?

@NGreentail Either soul silver/ heart gold (gen 2 but the remakes came after gen 4) or do gen 5 (recommended also doing bw then gen 2 then bw2 to breathe between both gen 5 games if u like) . After that play what you feel like tbh. You can enjoy Pokémon in any order

@NGreentail Not really . You can just pick up from gen 4 and start there . My first Pokémon game I was 6 and was diamond and pearl and have played every game since (I have never played gen 1 for example) gen 4 can feel a little slow nowadays so maybe an emulator is best. Then you can choose
