couple years ago i saw someone say "the way guren and mahiru could've both had shinya and they chose EACH OTHER?? talk about horrible taste" and that about sums it up.
chose each other and STILL had to take shinya down with them for whatever fucked up reason
the way the story treats shinya's multiple deaths (...) is so??? it's only ever depicted as something terrible happening to GUREN, never as an actual person being killed. yes shinya was passively suicidal and didn't give a shit but it leaves such a bitter aftertaste
this is genuinely the worst fucking story i've ever had the misfortune of growing interested in.
"guren and i have no regrets"!?
THIS IS NOT GOOD WRITING. it's not even a story at all! it's spouting misplaced emotional dialogue with no actual fucking meaning behind it whatsoever.
@shinyamybelove7 yep. recently remembered that noya exists, what the fuck was that even about
he just appeared, being an anomaly because he was the only demon to have his memories BEFORE mikaela's awakening, and then refused to elaborate
@mrthirdwheeI it’s such a shame cos it really felt like there was sm potential not just for shinya but for all the other side characters in the series, so many individual motives, build up and tension that has just been thrown away in the last 60 chapters
i'm just still so baffled. like, were we wrong for expecting more?? was it always just an empty story with even emptier characters??? i don't think it was
if "character that someone created" is your definition of OC and you like literally any anime character, then yes, you HAVE been interested in someone's OC. a character is not suddenly more "real" than others just because their creator has a published book or series.
i feel like the way it's used kind of puts down young authors/artists. i saw a tiktok of someone's characters under which a person commented "i've never been this invested in someone's ocs!!" with tens of thousands of likes. and they had an anime profile picture!
really confused about the current usage of the term "OC". i thought it stood for your own character you created for an already existing fictional universe, and not just ANY character you make up for your original story.
"guren mahiru and ferid are kagami's favourites" great. just great.
the glorified abuser, the glorified abuser's abusive marionette and the metaphorical fucking pedophile no that's amazing
@shinyadefender that's right💖 it's baby shinya💕 in the outfit he was wearing when he was taken from his family💘 because that was basically when his life ended💝
