@mstryfe_pixels the effort. shading with like 5 extra tones just for the sake of making everything look sometimes overly smooth. But it has its own charm
Though it's considered a faux pas in modern "pixel art technique", I've learned to really like the pillow-shading of old Euro and American computer games. When I look at some of those graphics and see like 6-7 bands of shading I can't help but admire the work ethic
