#AI Tool Review #4: Codex I let OpenAI's Codex work on a coding task so I could see if we're getting closer to an AI software engineer. 👀 What it does Codex is an AI coding agent that can understand tasks, write code, modify existing projects, debug issues, and help automate parts of software development. ✅ Things I liked • Works directly with real code instead of just generating snippets • Great at understanding larger tasks and breaking them into steps • Saves a surprising amount of time on repetitive coding work • Can explain why it made certain changes ❌ One thing I hated It's still not a "build my startup while I sleep" tool. Best way to practice Leetcode is to write pseudo code. No python, no java or javascript. Just pure pseudo code. Also, if you cannot convert pseudo code to actual code, that's a different problem that you have.
