Mamdani deserves the egg on his face. Also it should remind his cult that his popularity has limits.

"We have nothing against Jews, only against Zionists." In 1968, Poland expelled every single Jew that remained in Poland. Like most pro-Palestinian activists today, they covered up for their racism by saying it was nothing against Jews, just against Zionists. As you can see, the sign says, "Zionists to Israel". So next time they tell you "Zionists should go back to Poland", remember that they probably learned their little trick of Zionists to Israel, from the communists in Poland, and probably also hate us for the same reason the Poles did, because we are Jewish.

“When we learn Jewish history, the story of the Jewish people in the Land of Israel seems to end with the Jewish-Roman wars of the 1st and 2nd centuries. “From there, normative history courses shift to the Diaspora: the Talmudic academies in Babylonia, the Golden Age in Spain, Jewish life in Eastern Europe. The implied takeaway is that the Jewish population in the Land of Israel rapidly collapsed and was virtually nonexistent for 2,000 years, until the waves of mass immigration in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. “In this perspective, the Land of Israel is depicted as a memory, a place to long for in prayer, but long since left behind, until modern times.” In reality the land saw a continuous Jewish presence in the Land of Israel for the past 3,700 years, an unbroken chain of generations who never left. Until the 5th century Jews remained a majority, mostly concentrated in the Northern Galilee region. Under successive waves of persecution and sometimes forced conversions, many left or stayed and converted to Christianity or Islam. But despite decline, persecution and sometimes famine, the Jewish communities of Eretz Yisrael remained and played an important role throughout 2,000 years of exile, eventually being there to welcome home the millions of Jews who have returned today. So who were these people? Distinct from Mizrahi, Sephardic, and Ashkenazi Jews, they were native Judeans who simply never left, and yet almost no one has ever heard of? aish.com/the-jews-who-n…

As I listen to Americans explain why they voted for Trump or refused to vote for Harris, it strikes me that they just made things up in their heads that were not true, and the media did nothing to dissuade them. Trump never said anything about the education system other than attacking it. But this voter thinks he did, because the traditional media and social media was myopically concerned with whether Haitians were eating pets, and if Biden was old. There was no discussion of either party's platform, or the candidates' legacies. That was old news, and uninteresting. How can we blame this on the candidates themselves? They don't control the media, and have little if any power to direct it or correct the record once something goes viral. Voters themselves bear some responsibility to verify that their impressions are correct, but they have abdicated all civic responsibility, not that we ever had much to begin with. Truly, however, trying to explain the results of 2016, 2020, or 2024 without giving the media itself the majority of the blame is ridiculous. Trump lost in 2020 because the media never strongly attacked Biden, and Trump's poor handling of the early pandemic was widely reported. Trump won in 2016 and 2024 because the media was relentlessly negative about Clinton and Harris, giving Trump endless amounts of free press without scrutinizing his record or platform.
