The author requested that Otrigiri and Hirose not be portrayed as becoming too close and that they remain clearly within a teacher–student relationship; that depictions which sexually exploit female students or female characters be avoided; and that crude elements from the original work be toned down or adjusted in the anime so it can be accessible to a wider audience.
