Viewers quickly began speculating about Savannah Guthrie’s wellbeing after she unexpectedly vanished from part of the morning show. She had just been positioned for an interview with Anne Hathaway to discuss Hathaway’s upcoming film Mother Mary. But after the program cut to commercial, the segment resumed with Hoda Kotb handling the interview instead. Some online clips of the show also appear to leave out the moment Savannah first introduced Hathaway, adding to questions about why the handoff changed so suddenly and whether it could be connected to a possible development in the Nancy Guthrie case.
