@PeterSchiff @TimDraper Somehow Peter, a knowledgeable "economist", doesn't understand counterparty risk.

In a recent interview, @TimDraper said he prefers Bitcoin over gold because gold doesn't work as a medium of exchange because you can't shave some gold off your bar and order a cappuccino. Somehow Draper, a knowledgeable crypto investor, doesn't realize you can tokenize gold.

@MrBitcoinWhalee Serious question: Why do all the posts like this include "...moves it into a trust..."??? That in no way impacts or improves the step up in basis.

A father buys Bitcoin for $100K. Years later, it’s worth $5M. If he sells, he faces taxes on a $4.9M gain. So he doesn’t sell. He moves it into a trust, borrows against the Bitcoin, and lives off the loan. No sale. No taxable event. When he dies, his heirs inherit the Bitcoin with a new $5M cost basis. The gain disappears. The tax bill never comes.

America doesn’t need direct file It needs return-free filing. The IRS already has all your taxable data. Every year the IRS should either send you a bill or a check. If you think they got it wrong then you can file.

I do not drive anymore. Tesla Self-Driving does over 99% of my driving, and the only disengaging I do is for small nav issues and parking preferences (which I assume will get resolved in 14.3). How is the world not freaking out about FSD? I cannot believe how good it has gotten, yet I still don’t hear anyone outside of “our bubble” talking about it.

The Laffer Curve was invented purely to justify Ronald Reagan's tax cuts. When it has actually been tested in real life it has been shown to be a load of nonsense.

A little advice to app developers: If a feature in your app is broken and you know it is broken, either fix it or remove it from the app. And your "we don't have enough developers" excuse is a "you" problem if you are charging me to use the app. Talking to you @Heptabase.
