@scardeval All good! It's just an XLR dock that you attach to the back of a stream deck. It allows you to monitor and control your mic through your stream deck as well apply effects! It's a big upgrade, but you don't absolutely need it if you're using a USB mic!

@scardeval I recommend any condenser mic as the minimum. I personally have been using an AT2020 for 3-4 years. Really sturdy and budget-friendly mic! Pair it with an Elgato XLR dock if you have a stream deck. Or just a simple audio interface and you'll be good to go!

@scardeval But I'd say your setup is perfectly fine! I don't see why anyone disses USB mics. They're awesome for anyone who's looking to be even MORE budget friendly! My mentality is... if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Artists who host raffles… please listen. Some of us join free raffles because we can't afford commissions right now. We're here for the excitement and the chance to win your beautiful work, not to get hit with DMs pushing tips, "donations" or paid upsells. This has happened to me way too many times recently, and it's honestly exhausting. It comes across as scammy and tanks your reputation fast. Guilt-tripping or bait-and-switching just makes people wary of all artist giveaways. What's your take? Have you experienced this too?
