We learned this morning that Woobie has arrived in the US and will make her way to Mobile tomorrow. We do not yet have any news on what will happen to her. We have some hopes and dreams, but at the end of the day, her story might not be as important to those who don't know her.

Was covered in fleas, ticks, and really skinny. His finders cleaned him up and are trying to find a rescue who can take him. They say he really sweet and gets along well with her other dogs. This video shares the story of a German Shepherd who was returned to the shelter 7 times because he wouldn’t stop crying during the night. It was thought he had severe separation anxiety. An elderly veteran with PTSD adopted him anyway. Both had nightmares from trauma. The veteran recognized the signs, slept beside him, and gently woke him during episodes. After 2 weeks, the nightmares stopped. Now they support each other through it all and never sleep alone. What a heartwarming bond ❤️‍🩹.

You don’t have to adopt every dog. But you can share their story. Sometimes that’s the difference between life and death.

This is a never ending story, what not everyone realizes is that not all big dogs make it out alive yet they still surrender their pets. I hope this boy gets adopted soon and lives his best life with his furever family. I hate when people do this! I don’t care what the circumstances are, this isn’t okay. I’ll be homeless before I surrender one of my dogs. What an absolutely gorgeous Doberman. ❤️ The dog looking back for its owner. My heart is breaking for him. 🥺💔

🚨 Breaking: Court documents reveal animal control officer used pistol with silencer to euthanize dogs 🐾 Silsbee, Texas — We’re learning more about Joshua Nolen, the former Silsbee animal control officer arrested Friday and charged with improper methods of euthanasia. The arrest follows a viral video recorded by local resident Michelle Corbitt Ladner. Court documents allege Nolen used his personal .22-caliber pistol equipped with a silencer to euthanize multiple dogs, violating state guidelines on humane euthanasia. According to a sworn affidavit, Ladner went to the Silsbee Animal Shelter (142 Woodward Lane) on February 27 to surrender two stray dogs she found in Evadale. While waiting for Nolen, she discovered numerous canine remains about 200 feet from the shelter, scattered through a wooded area and floating in a drainage ditch. Investigators say the dogs were in various stages of decomposition. Corporal Timothy J. O’Connor Jr., a dedicated Pennsylvania State Police Trooper, gave his life in the line of duty on March 8, 2026. Cpl. O’Connor’s bravery and commitment to protecting our communities embody the very essence of public service, and his sacrifice will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with Cpl. O’Connor’s wife, young daughter, and the entire PSP family during this unimaginable time of grief. In honor of his memory, I join the Governor in calling for flags to be flown at half-staff, and I urge our community to come together in solidarity with all who wear the badge.
