genuinely don’t see why people think of this movie as having a weak storyline. it has a great story about a cocky athlete who learns humility, it’s presented in a very silly way but i still find this to be a very strongly written film

@Sonic3_da This is undeniably Nomura’s work! I believe the full illustration was intended to be compiled like this, hence why Donald’s ‘4 finger’ hand is hidden behind Sora. AI was used to separate the cast for alternate box art, same with the settings to give their 3D models a drawn look

A lot of people say this looks like a video game switching from cutscene to gameplay but I disagree. It feels like the camera pan is going to reveal they've pulled up to McDonald's to collect all The Flash toys that come with a Happy Meal.

It's really funny revisiting the Henry Stickmin collection because this game uses so many of the same sound effects that are used in Among Us that it feels like a jumpscare every time you hear one

I remembered this stretch of time in 2020 when the Henry Stickmin collection was released with many people not knowing what Among Us was before getting its surge in popularity later that year

If I remember right one of the big innovations in this film was how they did surfaces in 3d animation and i think this opening is a very direct showcase of that and how they interact with light
