I’m not going to say it’s over for Bill Self. It seems dumb to act like he’s just forgotten how to coach. But the questions about what he can do in the NIL era are starting to mount a bit. Three straight first-weekend exits, and 6 of the last 7 tournaments, is absolutely brutal

@CJR16255 None of those coaches would cut it. Why are fans so high on Todd Golden when he just lost in the first round with team with arecord remarkably similar to KU’s (which people are saying wasn’t good enough) in a worse conference?

If he does retire, KU can have anyone they want. My list, in no particular order: Tommy Lloyd Ben McCollum Todd Golden Dusty May Nate Oats Anyone that says Vaughn is drunk. That would be horrible. This is KU. They can get anyone. No need for dumb nostalgia hires.

@simonkuo @PhoggyThoughts Kentucky fan base was thier problem, We have been patient with Bill, Its just an era he can't get the players to buy into. We drive the ball so much that we dont build shooters. The offense is just awful

I’m gonna get hate for this: Bill just doesn’t have it anymore. Pretty apparent over the last few seasons. Im sure someone will argue we just won a natty, but that was before NIL took off. I think this era just isn’t for him.

@TobyBall16 @PhoggyThoughts I agree the offense has been bad at times and we need to be able to hit the three point ball. My point is that the grass isn't always greener. Someone on here though Todd Golden would be good here, but FL losses have been to TCU, Duke, UConn, Auburn and MO...

Not knowing/trusting/getting a performance from a rotation on March 13 is far from ideal for KU. KU's starting four man hasn't seen the floor in the second half. Players who barely played recently are in. Self is searching right now, which isn't a great thing in the postseason.
