Conservatives are now attacking The North Face and calling for a Target-like boycott because the company decided to feature a drag queen in an Instagram ad for their Pride merchandise and has scheduled pride events. What the heck is wrong with people? Why does a company selling merchandise to people unlike you, anger you so much? I honestly don't understand the outrage. I want someone to explain it to me. The North Face has released a statement: “The North Face has always believed the outdoors should be a welcoming, equitable and safe place for all. Creating community and belonging in the outdoors is a core part of our values and is needed now more than ever. We stand with those who support our vision for a more inclusive outdoor industry.” Can we concentrate on kids being shot in schools, inner-city gun violence and the fact that our education system is failing, instead of pointless culture wars? PLEASE?
