I'm asking everyone to please share this. 😭🧎 The man in the video, Dr. Mfon Itek was my lecturer at the University of Uyo, Department of Communication Arts — now Faculty of Communication and Media Studies. He already had his PhD when I started school in 2008. He taught me Development Communications, Graphics of Communications, and Mass Media History. This video of him seriously ill was shared in our class WhatsApp group. Most of us had no idea he was still alive. Apparently he suffered a nerve signals paralysis. His colleagues are Professors in active service today. The fact that his situation has reached the public domain this way after he's been living in such solitary state in the same Uyo the school is located is a damning indictment of the school and the Faculty. I visited @OceanBasketNgr in Nigeria. After the meal, and my husband requested for the bill, I opened my purse to give the waitress tip, the bill was about 980k naira, ahhh! I was so so shocked. I looked again and I was lost for words. I just dipped the tips into my hubby's pocket. In the bill, they added 88k for service charge.. as in, why? What service? We paid taxes and all... all these other charges were almost 200k. I was weak. I didnt recover on time, because that 980k, I will make a better sumptuous meal with lovely drinks for all my guest. To even think that the vendor we paid to deliver food for 50 guest for that court wedding only charged 500k. Omo, I was weak. They'll never see me there. Till I left, I only crave amala.... I can eat my delicacies when I'm back to Vancouver. I wont spend 800 dollars eating out with 20 people at a good Chinese restaurant with lots of many options to eat from. I consider it a rip off!
