This is true. Apps like Pinduoduo and Kuaishou are intended for the despised rural population. Pinduoduo is used by poor people for their shopping needs and offers extremely low quality items that are often scams. The high caste mock its users as morons. sixthtone.com/news/1002780
aslichin@aslicheen

You must have heard of the household caste system of china, where people are restricted to their birth place but have you heard about the social media caste system of china? Low caste rural chinese have different apps & they can't access high caste chinese apps.

The caste system as a class structure was unique to India in that it retained a sense of autonomy and was ridiculously stable. However almost all the sins of the caste system including untouchability, rigidity etc are common features of class systems throughout the globe. +
Nondescript Communist@NondescriptRed

Casteism is perhaps the most distinctly Indian social issue on the planet. It's not a thing almost anywhere else. Why would this be the thing you accuse the Chinese of? There are actual Chinese social issues you could make valid critique of, even in the flag waving sense.

APPEAL TO FIND THESE BRAVE SINGAPOREANS WHO HELPED INDIAN POWs During Japan’s occupation of Singapore in World War II, at great risk to themselves, the people (in image) helped these Indian soldiers escape from their POW camps to India Capt Pritam Singh, MC, 2/16 Punjab Regiment Capt Balbir Singh, MC, 4/19 Hyderabad Regiment Capt Gangaram Parab, MC, 4/19 Hyderabad Regiment Lt MM Pillai, MC, Bombay Sappers Lt V Radhakrishnan, MC, Singapore Volunteer Corps Lt Natarajan, IMS (he stayed behind in Burma and did not get a medal as the others did) Had the soldiers/ those who helped been caught, they would have been likely executed. At a time when it was natural to focus only on one’s own survival, they selflessly helped fellow human beings. It’s possible their family does not know, and they deserve to know how brave their ancestor was. I am also in contact with one of the escaper families who want to thank those who saved their father. PLEASE HELP FIND THEM, THANK YOU@robert_lyman @forgottenwarpod @FYTWIO @DrHelenFry @TejpalRalmill @Sampan_Travel @TuckerJones1944 @adgpi @HCI_Singapore

Recently, some Indian social media users claimed that they had made a "discovery" that China, like India, supposedly has "a caste system." They shared memes about ancient China's "four occupations" (Shi-Nong-Gong-Shang: scholars, farmers, artisans, merchants) by framing them as equivalent to India's hereditary jati system. Chinese commentators believe the claim reflects the ignorance of some Indian netizens about Chinese historical culture. globaltimes.cn/page/202606/13…

As with the term "Boston Brahmin", Chinese internet terminology has little relation to the Indian terms it reuses. Nevertheless, the term "dalit leadership" / "dalit foreman" is a very interesting analytical category in internet discourse. To help explain it, I have gone deep undercover behind the lines of the Chinese firewall to bring you this secret knowledge that few outsiders are privy to (I asked Deepseek and Google translated the answer):

A nuanced Chinese discussion of modern Chinese materialism (which is why calling someone Shang is now a compliment rather than a Confucian insult) and its pros and cons. Also a discussion about ignorant dismissal of India.

@loongshih @martian_lore Yes the other Sinic countries followed the Confucian caste system. It's literally common knowledge, getting support from some wignats and leftards doesn't change reality. x.com/somethinganach…
K aybe@somethinganache

The Confucian caste system of the ancient Chinese was so influential that even Korea adopted it. It was so brutal and long-standing that it was only legally abolished in 1896. North Korea still has a caste system to this day!

@martian_lore Projecting on 士农工商 is an automatic attack on other Sinic countries by extension since they use similar systems. Meanwhile, Indians have such a bad rep that even Sinophobic westoids think this is Indians being unintelligent as usual, so Indians already lost from the start.

The green streams representing the Indian subcontinent - from Magadha to Republic of India - are among the thickest and most continuous on the entire map. This visually reflects that India was home to the world’s largest and most stable demographic forces for most of recorded history. This is why India today has such deep historical roots and political unity (not a recent phenomenon).

Before Claude Fable 5 went down, it built me a visualization of the whole of human history. It is an updated re-creation of the 1931 classic "Histomap" by John B. Sparks. Thread below with more details, link to website, and code on github.

This new Izzat phenomenon is merely another Chinese psyop against Indians. It’s essentially a copy of the Chinese face-saving culture, “Mianzi (面子),” with an Arabic word, “Izzat.” Chinese projections are truly funny. 😂😂
Teortaxes▶️ (DeepSeek 推特🐋铁粉 2023 – ∞)@teortaxesTex

What do Indians even hope to achieve with all this bullshit? «caste is just occupation saar» «ackchually a European word» They know perfectly well what their caste is. It can't work. This is what we call «izzat», and it doesn't matter in the slightest how you understand the term.
