I think hard labor jobs that at one time no one wanted to do, like construction, electrical, HVAC and plumbing would be the last industries Ai, autonomy and robotics will steal from us. Either that or become the problem, and learn how to build the robotics, the autonomous systems, programming, etc. CS engineers have successfully coded their way out of a job creating Ai. Soon programmers will program their way out of a job creating autonomous/robotic systems that will do the jobs we’ve been doing.

You know how easy it is to automate indoor hydroponic systems. Robotics and autonomy will take over agriculture before most other industry’s. I’ve built and operated a fully automated indoor gardening system. All you need is a coy fish pond, water pumps, air pumps and liquid nutrients fed daily on automated timed pumping systems. Only human intervention is for harvest and planting but even that can be solved with a $20,000 robotic system.

What’s it even mean to “learn Ai” anyways? Do you mean learn how to download an app and talk to an LLM chatbot all day? It’s data source is the internet and doesn’t mean it’s 100% right, not to mention hallucinations. Just wondering honestly cuz it’s so easy to just tell someone a general answer, when in reality…it’s an unclear suggestion. It’s a good starting point don’t get me wrong. I’ve been sifting thru options for a few weeks now using Grok, but asking real ppl who work in different industries and see in real time how Ai is changing the industry they work in is a valuable source of who to ask questions like this. It’s been a valuable thread for me anyways.
