Idk if other people really understood the story of Sonic Frontiers being an allegory for the dev team desperately trying to save their series from “the end” or if it was just me but I love when Sonic games are serious and earnest like that, it’s inspiring to me

I’m gonna be honest people who always act like Sonic is in a “Bad Spot” rn or act like “The Series is only getting worse” really piss me off because literally it’s really not (at least rn) and yet they’ll act like the 2000s was some flawless era that had no bad games.

@LlennoxYt And remember this game was on switch...that game would freaking implode on there lol. (Saying this as a Nintendo fan) TLDR making a system for split screen in a platformer is a lot harder than people think and in some cases damn near impossible.

@LlennoxYt And even if it was like this it would look weird as hell and still have the same issues and you still have to figure out What to do if X or Y happen. I'm not excusing it I just feel like no matter what you do there is always gonna be a problem. (30fps, laggy, plays weird, etc.)

@LlennoxYt That Rivalry I think is what makes sonic so interesting because sonic is the only one who really stayed around to compete with Mario every other platformer has been on and off again where sonic despite his failures gets back up...that's what makes this series so inspiring to me.

@LlennoxYt I think that "Trying" is what keeps sonic going if you catch my drift. Will he ever outsell a modern mario game? Probably not but that drive gives the development team and others a drive to see it get better. Motivation is Motivation despite how impossible the goal is. 1/2
