Pending board approval, Chris Kosiorek will be named the head football coach of the Niles McKinley Red Dragons. Kosiorek, a Youngstown Cardinal Mooney graduate, previously held head coaching positions at Mechanicsburg, Crestwood and Gilmour Academy. He owns a 71-54 career record.

I lived most of my life in Oregon, left for a few years and recently had to return (father-in-law passed away). Most people here aren't crazed leftists, rural Oregon is full of good, hardworking people who just want to be left alone. Portland has ruined this state, but not everyone in it

@Alexvehr @MartinRPI Completely different times for a number of reasons. I was at YSU in 2000 when Niles and Youngstown Chaney Drew 18,000 for a playoff game. Today that same game in the same venue would probably top out at 6-7,000. With a few exceptions it's like that throughout the state.

This is awesome! Capacity or 7,000 at Mason (sold out in an hour), to a capacity of 65,515. Any guesses on the final attendance number for this matchup? Last year’s D1 State Final had an attendance of 4,814. I think St. Xavier-Elder does 4x that number.

@MartinRPI This is definitely a unique situation but I have to believe that the vast majority of fans who truly want to go to this game already got their tickets. Now you will have a couple thousand more but that's about it.

@MartinRPI 12,000 max. High School football fans in Ohio always tend to exaggerate attendance expectations in the playoffs. It happens every year. "Why was such and such game put in such a small stadium?" Only to see that Stadium half to 3/4 filled on game Night.
