Strong military also means that everywhere you live and work you always find really messed up veterans who are given a pathetic amount of support from the country they gave a lot for. Truly heartbreaking situations everywhere - it is a very new thing for a Canadian to see. If you move to the US and are financially successful, make sure you support a charity that provides for veterans.

Had the opportunity and did it. Moved to NJ and then moved from there to PA. Don't let people tell you the taxes are lower. They're not much different, unless you move to some of the well known low-tax southern states. But read the fine print. Just because there's no STATE income tax, doesn't mean zero tax. There's still federal. And no matter where you move on earth, they come after you for tax, UNLIKE CANADA. Healthcare CAN be amazing - if you have a good job with good benefits. Otherwise, it can be MUCH worse, depending where you live and your money situation. Big City health care in Canada is about middle-of-the-road US quality from what I've seen.

CHINA Today A SHIPMENT of Chinese EV's spontaneously combusted and EXPLODED into flames. Luckily this BATCH didn't make it to Canada. Maybe the next batch will be SUCCESSFUL.

@MichelleLA1981 I'm also Canadian, though don't live there anymore. But for most of my life living in Canada I found that the people most likely to complain loudly about corruption were also the ones paying the handyman under the table in cash. Corruption is sometimes in the mirror too

I went to the bank and initiated a wire transfer to my @XMoney account using the checking and routing numbers. The money settled into my account in less than 24 hours. When asked what the transfer was for, I simply said, "To earn 6% APY." The teller thought I was joking.
