ESPN bastardized the spirit of competition, spoke in platitudes, & used an injury as an excuse to screw a team out of a chance to compete; all for the purpose of sneaking their cash cow conference into another attempt at backdooring into a title. Abhorrent post-truth politics.

Alabama and Texas over Florida State was the right playoff call. My analysis:

@Johnny_Joey Not one person on the planet knows who the 4 best teams are (Oregon - 9.5 and Georgia -5)…the “eye test” is worthless. Results and winning matters! All 3 undefeated conference champs should still be in.

UGA v Bama was a de facto playoff game. As a Georgia fan I’m perfectly fine with that. Dawgs had a lot of ups and downs this season. ACC looked worse as the year went on. I wouldn’t have batted an eye if FSU got in, but Bama is a better team and just as deserving. Deal with it, 12-team playoff coming in 12 months.

As I picked earlier.....4 best teams are in the @CFBPlayoff !!....@FSUFootball just because they went unbeaten doesn't mean they belong in the final4!.....it also shows U how the committee has NO RESPECT for @theACC !!

@ClayTravis Oregon was 9.5 favorite over UW…how’d that work out? Form over substance means squat in football.

Both are conference champs and Alabama would be a double digit favorite over Florida State if they played on a neutral field in the playoff. If FSU still had Jordan Travis, I’d have them in, but FSU is a touchdown weaker, at least, without him.
