I have to head off now, but feel free to continue chatting and reminiscing! It's been a nice trip down memory lane. Speaking on behalf of myself and the team, it's been such fun getting to chat to so many people over the years. #uklibchat

@uklibchat Farewell, #uklibchat, and all the best to everyone. I hope things will get better than they’ve been recently but, whatever happens, it’s still a great profession and I’m very glad to have worked in it.

#uklibchat Q6 is Discord a thing for librarians? I know at one point there was also a Slack?? But that is already an old thing, or is it? *insert Am I Out of Touch GIF*

@uklibchat A7 another reason why I love Twitter chats is that fact that geographical boundaries don't exist along with travel restrictions (other than Covid-19) I get to interact with anyone anywhere in the world with regard to common ground.

Unbelievably that's 8.30pm which means it's time to wrap up our last ever #uklibchat. As usual, feel free to continue chatting - it feels like a great mix of nostalgia and new opportunities!

#uklibchat Q7 :D Taking this opp to announce that I am changing jobs, and going to work in a uni library in Central London. I'm already thinking about possible opportunities from being so close to other university libraries and places like British Library and Wellcome Lib etc

@uklibchat A7 If anyone has a better way to interact with this style of Twitter chat than refreshing a search of the hashtag with your phone I'd love to know as that always feels clunky! #uklibchat

#uklibchat There are certain things that I would still like to see happening such as collaborations between university libraries and public libraries, and something to do with games/tech/libraries.

@uklibchat A7 I think all of us do, from time to time. Sometimes you just want to get an idea of what is best practice in a certain aspect of running a library or to gauge opinion on tools and equipment used in libraries. These instances call for brainstorming.

@uklibchat A6 But think Twitter is still a super handy way to involve a wide range of geographically dispersed people #uklibchat

@Annie_Bob @uklibchat I'm still here, but not as intensely perhaps. I still learn things that are relevant for me. And where else am I going to get sympathy when I rant about things like citation tools etc :D #uklibchat

I'll leave you to find library memes and jokes, but while you're doing that I'll also send out Q6: What ways do you see in the future for people to share their experiences and knowledge? Are there better platforms for this other than Twitter? #uklibchat

@uklibchat A6 I think many of us look forward to a return to actually seeing people in person at events too. Some of the most useful tips/warnings aren't written down and it has been so long! #uklibchat

And the final question of #uklibchat... Q7 Have you been mulling over an idea for a project that would benefit from a brainstorm session? This group might be able to help!
