I’m grateful for the NYPD officers who worked under difficult circumstances to maintain public safety. I also saw some questions about safe access, the size of the perimeter, and the movement of press around the area. Whether you are a congregant entering a house of worship, a peaceful protestor, a journalist, or a passerby, the Council’s new law will help bring greater transparency to the considerations that the NYPD uses in situations like these.

Arming the Iranian people is a sound idea. It requires time, planning, and infrastructure. In the meantime, when protesters are in the streets, deploying 50–100 MQ-9 Reaper and MQ-1C Gray Eagle over Iran’s ten largest cities for persistent loitering, surveillance, and precision targeting of repression forces on the ground would be a game changer and could accelerate the regime’s collapse. If Washington decides to pursue such a strategy-plans for it seriously, does the preparatory work, and maintains consistent messaging-mobilizing people into the streets and triggering defections within the regime’s security apparatus becomes entirely feasible.

Devo riconoscere che chi le ha realizzate, almeno nel caso in allegato, mi ha anche migliorata parecchio. Ma resta il fatto che, pur di attaccare e di inventare falsità, ormai si usa davvero qualsiasi cosa. Il punto, però, va anche oltre me. I deepfake sono uno strumento pericoloso, perché possono ingannare, manipolare e colpire chiunque. Io posso difendermi. Molti altri no. Per questo una regola dovrebbe valere sempre: verificare prima di credere, e credere prima di condividere. Perché oggi capita a me, domani può capitare a chiunque.
