Morning well spent hearing from a lot of great folks doing good work across the Northland. No matter where I find myself in Kansas City, something new is being planned and built. Great way to spend a morning. Walked 80 blocks along Troost for the annual Troost Walk. The pace gave time to check out the Black-owned businesses, catch up with friends, and make some new ones along the way. Big thanks to KC G.I.F.T. and Brandon Calloway for organizing.

My friend Councilwoman Melissa Patterson Hazley gave a great speech at the ribbon cutting for the new parking garage at 18th and Lydia. More big plans coming including a hotel and a new and improved Negros League Baseball Museum. Also a prime spot for a street car extension.
