Great news about openings on the @BlueRidgeNPS. Next week the NPS will reopen more than 30 campsites in Loop A of Julian Price Campground. Sites will be available by reservation through the end of October. Reservations open 9 a.m. ET on Aug 11. #VisitNC recreation.gov

I was incredibly fortunate to receive the Dorothy Hardman @southeasttouris Spirit of Hospitality Award at their annual conference this week. This was very much an unexpected honor--after all, I'm just a consultant, a designer of ditches and not the digger of them, as they say. But I love giving back to the sector of the economy that has given so much to me for almost 30 years, and service to STS is just one way of doing that. This award really should be shared with all of you who have hired me, worked with me, given me advice, and granted me opportunities I would have never had if not for you. Thank you, too, to all of you who came before me to make my very modest contributions possible.
