ASU wins, eliminating 1-seed Nebraska. ASU needs to beat Ole Miss this evening (5 p.m.) and again tomorrow to advance to a Super Regional.

Hairston won’t be able to play in the second game today if ASU wins this one. Split-second emotional lapse in judgement with significant ramifications. That can’t happen from your superstar player in this situation.

Hairston was ejected. He flung his bat about 10 feet in the air after a very questionable called third strike. The umpires huddled, then talked to Bloomquist. Then Hairston was ejected. Waiting to see if that means he’d miss the next game also. Costly emotional lapse.

@Cardschatter Same referee crew that called that Panther game according to the broadcasters. That means players are prepared for all aspects of the game. Referees count as part of prep.
