How can you imagine that working for somebody just a few weeks a year makes them an employee? Musicians work briefly for many dozens of people each year. ALL would deny unemployment or worker's comp claims even if we were on payroll. @LorenaSGonzalez

Real question to attorneys and theatre/opera folks: how did a directed play or opera with paid actors or musicians ever survive a challenge of employer Misclassification under the law before AB5? It’s hard to see how that could survive a Borello challenge.
