@bford5908 Whit Weeks also missed a ton of games. Also Ole miss stats include playoffs. Whit was also pre season all american. Whit also plays Middle line backer almost never blitzed, sacks is the only stat that that is way off prolly due to actual snaps played

@lowmercur Perkins has played 10 more career games (38 to 28). Weeks averages 6.2 tackles per game. Perk 4.8. But perk has double the career TFLs of weeks (30 to 15) and over 4x the sacks (18.5 to 4.5). You can have that extra 1.5 tackles I’ll keep the meaningful stats all day

@bford5908 @lowmercur Perkins is considered an EDGE. He should have more sacks and TFLs. That’s his job. Weeks plays in the middle. In 2024, when healthy all year, Weeks had 61 solo tackles, 120 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, 2 FF and 1 INT. Thats almost double the tackles Perkins had. Different position

@k9ergreaseNFT @lowmercur Tackles for mlb are like catches for a center fielder. What matters is where on the field you’re getting those tackles. For example dottery’s average tackle was 5 yards down the field (terrible) im not sure what weeks average is but I do know perk has way more significant plays

@k9ergreaseNFT @lowmercur Perkins is considered a will linebacker and he played a lot more coverage this year only blitzing about 40% of snaps played. Again tackles are kind of an overvalued stat for mlbs. Just look at dottery he lead the sec in tackles this year but was our worst graded starter (53.4)
